England 1952. Homosexuality is illegal. Tony and Johnny are in love. Tony is a film star, a matinee idol, adored by women everywhere. To survive Tony and Johnny must keep their secret.

There's no sense talking about what a family should be. You might say that a mother should love her child, and a father should love his son, but that's all from the outside. Inside, there is only the family. There's no love, there's no forgiveness. There's only what happened. This is what I know and this is what I have to tell you. A novel for young adult readers.

This is an academic study, based on Pierre Bourdieu's Forms of Capital, of the Charlaine Harri's Sookie Stackhouse novels, and the True Blood television series production by Alan Ball. It is a draft of a monography, so is not finalised, proofed and complete. It is published for educational use.
